ANIMATEASE CORP. SELECTED TO RED HERRING TOP 100 LIST F0R SECOND CONSECUTIVE YEAR

- Animatease  one of 25 private companies to make the list two years in a row -

Denver, January 19, 2006 Animatease Corp.., a leading developer of animation software has been named one of Red Herring's "Top 100 Companies” for 2005. This marks the second consecutive year that Animatease has been listed on this prestigious list of both established and up-and-coming companies in the technology industry.

"We are certainly pleased that Red Herring has decided to bestow this honor on Animatease," said Richard Able, CEO for Animatease. "Receiving the award in 2002 was a great achievement for our young company. Winning the award for the second year demonstrates Red Herring's confidence in our business plan and management."

The Red Herring article mentions Animatease’ success in attracting capital funding and in entering into marketing arrangements to distribute its leading animation software application worldwide. The company has been able to raise approximately $50 millon and has marketing arrangements in place that assure it will be able to capture a significant percentage of what has been estimated to be a $1 billion dollar market. The company has also produced a prototype of a professional version of its software that is being used on a test basis by some of the leading producers of animated film. The professional version has permitted one animator to reduce its time from conception to final product in one half.

For the list, Red Herring selects 100 companies, fifty public and fifty privately-held, that are involved in the technology industry and demonstrate that they are "the brightest stars in the technology universe." Animatease expects to go public sometime during 2008. Animatease is in good company on the Red Herring 100; public companies like Amazon.com, Dell, eBay, Intel and Nokia made this year's list while other private companies like Buy.com, Paradyne and the SAS Institute join the privately-held list along with Animatease.

The February 2006 issue of Red Herring featuring the Red Herring 100 list will be available on newsstands January 18.

HOW THEY RANKED

In order to accurately represent the technology industry and its key players, the Red Herring editors divided the industry according to its various sectors - giving more weight to those sectors that they felt most essential in building tomorrow's digital universe. Using a system of metrical and subjective comparisons, the list highlights companies in the following markets: communications equipment, communications services, wireless equipment and services, software, systems manufacturers, consumer computing, media, electronic commerce, and biotechnology.

In choosing its companies, the Red Herring looked at criterion from vision, management and innovative business strategies to the track record of the company's venture capitalists, its marketing techniques and the strength of its partnerships - all of which impact the companies' abilities to affect change in the new economy.

A complete list of the 2005 Red Herring 100 Companies is available in the February issue of Red Herring and can be found on the World Wide Web at www.redherring.com.
