EDGAR Websites

There are three basic EDGAR websites that EDGAR filers must be familiar with all of which commence with https rather than the familiar http—they are respectively—

Fiiler Management--https://www.filermanagement.edgarfiling.sec.gov/—this is where new filers begin and obtain necessary access codes

EDGAR Filings--https://www.edgarfiling.sec.gov/--these is where all filings are made except those required by Section 16(a) relating to reports filed by officers, directors, and ten percent beneficial owners pertaining to acquisitions and dispositions of the issuer’s equity securities.. In addition, it is where the latest version of EDGARLink, an essential tool to preparing EDGAR filings and the related templates can be downloaded.

Filing Section 16(a) [Form 4] Reports--https://www.onlineforms.edgarfiling.sec.gov/--OnlineForms Management—this is where Section 16(a) filings must be prepared and made online. It is also where transfer agents must prepare and file relevant reports.

There is a fourth online that is called a Gateway and it the only one with an http in its URL and it is the one site at which nothing takes place, but provides links in the form of questions to the three other sites and also three other links we describe below

EDGAR GATEWAY--http://www.portal.edgarfiling.sec.gov/--It has links in the form of questions that we do not repeat as the answers are apparent that will lead to the above three websites.: In addition, it has three other links as follows: Company Data— http://www.edgarcompany.sec.gov/ This is not a particularly informative EDGAR website. It will, if you know the company’s name, give you the company's CIK, state of incorporation, phone number, address, reporting file number and other similar information. Much more useful is Search the EDGAR Data base-- http://www.sec.gov/edgar/searchedgar/webusers.htm. A second-question link to download the EDGAR Filer Manual includes that and much more Information for EDGAR Filers--http://www.sec.gov/info/edgar.shtml. The third question-link Regulatory Actions--http://www.sec.gov/rules.shtmlon leads to a page on the Commission’s website with links to a number of useful but non-EDGAR related SEC activities such as proposed and final rules and much more.
